Christmas dinner with family.

To me, Christmas had always been the same for me. Every year we set up the christmas tree and does the same thing, basically nothing special. But this year, the FEEL is totally different. Because everyone is off to work and study, us siblings don't get to meet up much everyday. So we truly precious the time we have together, and that is by setting up the christmas tree together.

I've never had a turkey before. Mom suddenly told us that she wanted to have a christmas dinner together and this time - ordering a turkey. We were shocked. A turkey ain't cheap. It cost around hundreds. But since we only do it this once, we decided to give it a go. My brother did the job by ordering it online.

Truth is, a turkey is SO HARD TO CHEW ON. The meat is so rough and quite plain in taste. But my dad was really smart, he sliced it into slices and slices and add some ketchup and salt. It was HEAVEN! And after becoming so small, it was definitely nicer to chew on.

Of course, my mom was the woman of the dinner that night. She basically prepared everything herself with my dad beside her being the helper. There were lots of food prepared that night, and my mom thought :"why not invite more people?" So she told me to ask my friend, May to come over for dinner as well. And she too, invited her family over.

We also invited our sister from another mother, and she brought us this really amazing durian cheese cake. It taste like heaven hand made by her aunt. Her aunt make good cakes, all hand made by good quality stuff and no colouring will be added to any of her cakes. So it's really good and healthy, and very decorative too. It's our second time trying this durian cheese cake, the other time she bought it for dad during daddy's day. If you wanna know how to get these really awesome cake, feel free to contact me :D

My mom really prepared a lot of amazing food. There's so many times where i told her, "you should really open a catering service. Cook food for people." And she's like.."no"

Dad's having fun with his turkey.

Everybody busy around the table of food.

Doraemon expo

Doraemon fans! This might just be FOR YOU!
So at Viva Home, they have doraemon expo until March 2014 if not wrong. So for doraemon lovers, you can pay for ticket to see your amazing doraemon.

The other day my sister brought us to this expo, and i've never heard one before, so i was actually looking forward to it because i was told that you can see a lot of different doraemon in this expo. As usual, i was with my Nikon dslr.

At the entrance of the doraemon expo

Outside doraemon expo with ma bro.

the entrance is really stunning and special as it was two big doraemon-like-eyes. It marked 100th.

Going in, u can see blue, purple, green, pink and all sorts of light colours in the hallway. It was really hard to capture their faces when the light switch because i kept capturing my brother's face in blue, which makes him look a lot like avatar.
Brother with Hwee Mei sis.

Like i said, the colours kept switching, i didn't know which colour suit my face and i just captured my face in purple. Behind me is a doraemon going through time space to somewhere i guess? I'm not much of a doraemon fan, but i do watch it though which i know a little or two.

Me and sister
Going further inside, we see rows and rows and doraemon in the big hall. There's red doraemon, yellow and blue ones. It was really special i think. Each doraemon is doing a different kind of pose.

I was actually trying to make a face like the doraemon behind me.

Rows and rows and doraemon neat and tidy on the platform.

There's even stuff like this to let you take photo of yourself with the tool the doraemon has, it's really interesting, luckily there were not much crowd, so i didn't have to wait for long until my turn.

There were these fake green grass. But it was really comfortable to stand and sit at. We kinda sit there and just slack for a bit.

This photo was actually showing the guy touching my head, like my father. HAHA

The caption said that this is a Parallela umbrella, when 2 person stand under it, they will fall in love in 5 minutes. So, do i fall in love with my brother? Yeah, i guess you could say that.

The souvenirs shop is really full of stuff. But stuff that u don't necessarily need to buy, it's souvenir after all. They have lots of stuffed toys and calendars and stuff. I got a blind fold. I needed a blind fold because i'm staying with a roommate and there might be some light issues at night, so...

Anyways, we did had lots of fun together capturing photos and memories together as siblings.

Family portrait.

I know this is a late post, it's 1st of January, 2014, but here i am, posting about Christmas. AHHHH. How i missed christmas :(

The other day was my mom's birthday. And so it happened that dad had already set up the christmas tree. So mom decided that we should really get a group photo together. I just feel that time really flies and now we're all grown up. Parents think that they should really get as many group photos with their family as possible so that it can be kept eternity (in my hard disk of course)

Mom received a bouquet of really lovely lilies. It smelt really nice and sweet too. Mom was on cloud nine. It was from sister and i'm sure it cost a lot.

While daddy here is holding sunflower which was second brother's graduation bouquet. You can see the graduation teddy on it.
The set up was just perfect! With the curtains behind and the christmas tree just add so much to the mood that i wanted. And i was sweaty all over setting up everything which i myself had to go in to take some photos too. Oh well.

I decided that day that i should totally go with something red. Christmas meant red and green. But my family seem to really like the idea of black and white. But my red balanced out their black, so i guess it's okay? :)

Wearing red being the odd one out. But the photo turned out really awesome! I showed dad and he really loved the lighting and the setup and our smiles. :) That's the perfect family photo that i've always dreamt of capturing. The moment.

Daddy with his sons.

Big brother had to rush for work, so five of us took another group shot, this time with me and third brother wearing our christmas hat.

So i guess it's the end for christmas post.
