台湾 i ❤

Sorry for delaying for so long. Here's the next post.

Well, before i start... I wanted to say that, i'm actually really lazy to type. And i don't know how many of you are reading and looking at my pictures, or maybe u guys just scroll and look at the pictures without reading. So yea, i found out that my uncle, Thomas had more info and detail about the trip, and he wrote it into an itinerary, so i might as well just copy it, because i'm lazy :P

So credits to uncle Thomas. Here goes. (p/s: 对不起,没有华语)

We soon arrived at Hehuanshan (合歡山), so-called Joy Mountain. A little way down from Hehuanshan Zhuang (合欢山庄), we stopped a while for the view of the beautiful valleys and gorges. We found a small beautiful waterfall that fell from the side of high mountainous peak. There was also Yue Fei Pavilion (岳飞) built in honour of the national hero Yue Fei of Song Dynasty.

They are wearing helmets because they are afraid that there might be rocks dropping down from the hill...  But the truth is, there is no rocks, and i bet that helmet must have smells! STINKY smells. Imagine how many people wore it, and they all have different stinky smells. :D

There were rocks, BIG rocks everywhere in the river. Amazing view. The biggest rock can even be bigger than 10x of me.

Following the highway further we soon came to a twisty section of the river bed. We had to pass through a long tunnel accompanied by deep valleys and a river that has receded to show hollow gorges though the mountains. We left our vehicles, and just walked along the side of the tunnel, and enjoyed the gorgeous view of the sky, the mountains, and the gorges! But it’s impossible for our vehicles to move on anyway as there must have been hundreds of tourist buses and vans queuing up behind or in front of us. But nobody complained about the delay, as all were overwhelmed by the sheer beauty of nature.

On the eighth day of Christmas, we set off at 8.30 in the morning. Mr Chong took us to a small restaurant where we had our breakfast. Immediately after that we were off to experience the outdoors of Hua Lian!

First on the go-list was Cisingtan Beach (七星潭)on the north eastern side of Hua Lian facing the Pacific Ocean and East China Sea! The place was just ten minutes ride from the city. The beach was covered with black stones, not sand. It offered the most exciting view of mountains, sea and sky!

The wind was so strong, and it was winter, we were all so cold just standing there. The waves were really scary, Taiwan's beaches have great big waves, tourist as seen on the picture above was unaware that the waves was so big that it got to the shore instantly, they were all screaming and running. Nobody wants to get soak on a cold day like this.

Our drivers next drove us out of the city, and showed us the sights and scenery of the countryside. And what did we see? What we saw were not just the areca nut palms clinging to the hillside; that could be seen everywhere in Taiwan. What greeted us were the unexpected vistas of fields and fields of untilled soil carpeted with flowers of the fields. They were not planted by the farmers, or owners of the land. They sprang up of themselves. “The flowers of the fields, they neither toil nor spin, yet Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these”. The flowers were of all sizes, colours and textures! They were gorgeous, glorious, spectacular, and we lost no time posing ourselves for pictures amidst them.

After the feast of sights of flowers and the fields, we next set our eyes on woodcrafts, and wood sculpture! We visited one of the famous factories that opened as an exhibition centre. The exhibition displayed the woodcuts from which the crafts were made, the process by which the wood were carved, and the instruments by which these crafts were made, and finally the woodcrafts themselves! A bag filled with fragrant wood was given to us as we bade good bye to the staff at the store!

Have u ever heard people eating ice-cream on winter? well we did! I heard the driver said that this place that sells ice cream are really famous, but when we reach there, we stunned because nobody was there. Maybe it's because it's winter.

CLAW MACHINE! those things inside looks really interesting, but to play it, u must have skills because these are cheater machine. We played it, lost couple of money, and we went home to youtube how to get it. Because it's a cheater machine, it grabs the thing, and loosen it half way back, so the thing we grab just drop, and it's happening every time.
